On Thursday 1 July we are expecting to receive a group of 26 visitors from Artannes. After a short welcoming meeting that evening, they will disperse to their hosts and thereafter take part in a programme of entertainment currently well in preparation. The group will leave on Tuesday 6 July.

There will be several opportunities to meet our guests and I note below the principal events in which anyone from Bathford & Kingsdown can take part:

Barn Dance
Friday 2 July in the Parish Hall at 7:30pm. Tickets from committee members or from the Village Shop £8.00, including Fish & Chip Supper with Strawberries & Cream.

Open Gardens
Sunday 4 July from 2:30pm. Visit selected gardens (details will be on the tickets) in Bathford & Kingsdown, with tea & cakes included - Tickets £3.00 from Colin Priston (743499) or Tony Woodcock (859132).

Please note that entry will be by ticket only & numbers will be limited for this event so book early to avoid disappointment!

American Supper
Monday 5 July in the Parish Hall from 8:00pm. This will be the closing event of the visit in which we will bid farewell to our guests.

There will be no charge for entry but those attending will be asked to bring a food contribution and a bottle of suitable tipple! However, please reserve places for this event by ringing Anne or Tony Woodcock on 859132 and let them know what food contribution you will bring, e.g., sweet or savoury etc.
