BATHFORD TWINNING ASSOCIATION (WITH KINGSDOWN)
NEWS FOR THE BATHFORD BULLETIN
NOVEMBER 2008

Annual General Meeting
In acknowledgement of the importance of and support to the Association of our Kingsdown members, it has been decided that this year we will hold the AGM in Kingsdown. It will therefore take place at 8.00pm on Monday 10 November, 2008 at the Kingsdown Golf Club. The bar will be open to our members from 7.30pm & again after the meeting.

All interested residents of Bathford & Kingsdown are welcome to come along. We particularly welcome anyone who has not taken part before. There is ample parking but anyone needing a lift should contact, the Secretary, Peter Rideal, on 858322.

We will review both the events of the year & future plans. Elections for the officers and committee for the coming year will also take place. Please pass any nominations (with a seconder) to Peter Rideal as above.

This is a particularly pleasant venue and we hope you will be able to join us there.

French Visit - "Les Saveurs D'un Noël Anglais"
A small group of about 9 people from Artannes will be visiting Bathford from 4 - 8 December, to take part in a Cookery Workshop entitled "The Taste of an English Christmas". This will feature demonstrations of the cookery involved in producing a traditional English Christmas dinner and other seasonal items. It will also include the decoration of the house and table in typical style. An opportunity to meet the French visitors will be available at the concluding supper, details of which are below.

Twinning Pot Luck Supper
This will form the Association's autumn/winter social event and will come at the conclusion of the Cookery Workshop and will therefore include our French visitors.

It will be held in the Parish Hall on Sunday 7 December at 7.00pm. It is open to all Association members and any other interested people & families who would like to take part.

Admission will be by FREE TICKET but all participants will be asked to make a food contribution towards the supper. Wine & soft drinks will be available. Entertainment will be provided by Nick Breeze who will be playing Christmas carols & songs.

To obtain your free ticket please contact Julia Masdin on 858042, telling her what sort of food contribution you can bring.
