Youth Twinning Visit
As previously announced, a group of about 27 children from the top class of the Artannes Primary School will be visiting Bathford from 5 July 2008 for about 5 days. These children are likely to be in the 10/11 age group.

A party of young people from Bathford visited Artannes last year, were received in a very hospitable manner and enjoyed an exciting programme of events arranged in their honour. We are anxious to reciprocate in like terms.

Helen Lees is organising this event for us and she urgently needs offers of accommodation for these youngster. She has already had some response but desperately needs more.

What we need most, are offers from people with suitable young children so that the French visitors will feel at home in Bathford. This is a great opportunity for your family to make contact with similar French families & to develop their interest in France and in Europe.

We shall be arranging a varied programme to occupy the children during the visit but need support from Bathford parents to put them up. We are already in touch with the Bathford Primary School which will receive the children during their stay. We have applied for an EU grant to subsidise the event. Any monies received will be used to subsidise the visitors' accommodation and entertainment.
