BATHFORD TWINNING ASSOCIATION (WITH KINGSDOWN)
NEWS FOR THE BATHFORD BULLETIN
JANUARY 2008

AGM
Speaking at the Association's 5th AGM, Maureen Breeze (Chair) recorded a year in which the contact with Artannes had been further developed.

Perhaps the most important development had been the visit by a party of young people from Bathford to Artannes. This youth involvement had long been the aim of the Association and had now started to come to fruition. It would be further cemented in early July 2008 when a large group of primary school children would make a reciprocal visit here.

The other major event had been the highly successful visit of people from the Artannes area to see a selection of English Country House Gardens. Thanks were recorded to Colin & Pam Priston who had arranged the event.

Finances were in a solid state; the major expenditure of the year being money used to promote youth visit activity.

In elections, all officers were re-elected for 2007/08. Derek Brown has resigned from the committee but Freddie & Sian Connolly have joined to strengthen the team.
