The July Visit
Details are beginning to firm up on the visit of the group from Artannes from 5 - 9 July 2007 (4 nights).

Currently 29 people have booked to come and they will travel by coach arriving on the evening of Thursday 5 July and leaving early on Monday 9 July. The party (50/60s in age) is expected to consist of 7 couples and the remaining 15 being single people - mostly women. Almost all of the party will not have visited Bathford before. We are told that with one exception, all of the group are able to speak some English.

This is a great opportunity to meet & get to know some new people from Artannes.

Our immediate need is to start finding ACCOMMODATION. Can you help?

We would like to hear from all interested people in Bathford & Kingsdown as to their ability to put up one or more guests. We will need offers of double, twin & single rooms. As well as the 7 couples, there may be single people who are friends and would like to stay together.

Hosting will consist of providing rooms on a B&B basis and offering an evening meal on the day of arrival. Other evening meals will be arranged by the Twinning Association.

The entire party has a strong interest in visiting English Gardens and a special programme is already set up to provide this. During the visit the French coach will be used for transport, so individual hosts will only have to get their guests to and from the coach each day. Whilst host families are welcome to take part in the daily visits, there is no obligation to do so.
